Optometrist - Norton, Sheffield Role summary

Be a part of our team in our brand new Specsavers store in Norton, Sheffield! Our new store is set to open in July 2018 and we’re looking for an Optometrist to join us for the launch of this store.

Us and you

Specsavers has been going from strength to strength ever since the business started back in 1984. We also recognise that our people are critical to our past and future success – so we do everything we can to make sure they get the experience and career they’re looking for; from outstanding training and a personal development plan, to excellent benefits and unstinting support.

We are searching for an optometrist who shares in their beliefs and ethos, fitting the store’s customer focused attitude. The store are seeking someone who wants to grow and develop with them, becoming a lasting member of the team and offering exceptional customer care along the way. If you’re a practitioner who prides themselves on their clinical judgment and is looking for a new challenge, this role is definitely for you.

Where you’ll be based

Our new store is set to open in St James Retail Park in Norton, Sheffield. This role will take you outside of Sheffield City Centre so if you’re looking to join a busy practice without being in the heart of this city, then this store could be perfect for you. With regular bus links this store is easy and convenient to reach. This new store will have four consulting rooms in total and we always like to remain at the top of our game, so get used to using the most cutting-edge equipment.

And for you….

In return for your professionalism and passion for our success, we are offering a fantastic package which includes:

·         Competitive basic salary

·         Generous annual holiday entitlement

·         Suite of benefits including medical/dental package and GOC/College of Optometrist fees

·         Progression plan including both clinical and commercial development such as additional clinical course support and Specsavers JVP Pathway

Your future

If career progression is what you’re looking for then the supportive directors at this store will give you all the tools you need to join Specsavers Pathway, eventually opening the door for you to become a director of your own store!  Or, clinical progression is your first port of call, then we’ll support you here too – for example, you may want more training in Therapeutic Prescribing, Glaucoma Qualifications or Dry Eye Clinics? Possibly Enhanced Optical Services? The opportunities to grow are endless.

For more information about this opportunity or to apply, please contact Sophie Ayland at Specsavers Recruitment Services on 01566 770 129 or email sophie.ayland@specsavers.com.
