My client has been established since 1938 and has an enviable reputation for offering a diverse service from eye tests to hearing tests and everything in between.
With over 140 practices and still growing they are now looking for an optometrist to work between two of their practices in the Staffordshire area.
They are offering a competitive salary package with a car allowance and family friendly working hours.
The role is working between three well established small and personable independent style practices on a rota basis as they are part time testing practices. They have experienced managers in all stores and very well trained support teams of between 3 and 6 and well presented environments.
They are all paper system led practices at the moment with plans for introducing paperless across the whole business. It is a 20-25 minute testing role and contact lens work is part of the working day. You will have some control of your diary in conjunction with the managers input as and when required.
*My client is open to 3-5 days working and hours are between 09:00 – 17:30.
Responsibilities of the Optometrist
You will conduct 20-25 minute tests as well as completing contact lens fittings and aftercare. You will be on hand to offer clinical advice and help patients to choose the best options for their needs. As this is an independent style practice a dynamic and flexible approach to your work is required as everybody helps in all areas of the practice.
Requirements of the Optometrist
To apply for this position you must a fully qualified, GOC registered optometrist who is up to date with all CET requirements. You will be able to work 3-5 days with flexibility for school hours term time and flexibility on weekends with potential of Monday to Friday an option no Sunday requirements.
You will ideally have at least 1 year of post qualification experience although for the right person they could consider someone relatively newly qualified and you will be comfortable working as the sole optometrist in a practice.
As well as this you will have a friendly professional disposition, be well presented and have an excellent chair side manner.
Compensation for the Optometrist
On offer is a better than average basic salary of up to £55,000 for the right person, experience dictates, plus additions to be discussed at interview.
