My client has been established for over 15 years and is growing into and becoming one of the leading testing practices of choice. They can boast openly about having a qualified practice manager in all their stores as well as teams from 5 to 9 of fully trained and experienced support colleagues to assist you in helping clients make the best decisions.

Optometrist Role

This is a 3 day opportunity with one of the fastest growing optical groups in the UK and this particular store is in a high footfall area.
The store has a local community presence with a mix of clients both NHS and private and with this not being a hard sell environment gives you the optometrist a little more scope. They are a family values driven group with a patient focused team who have the same ethos to deliver the highest levels of customer care possible.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

” Testing to 20 minute appointments dependent on client needs
” Undertake contact lens fittings and aftercare appointments
” Offer expert advice and suggesting recommendations to assist the customer and dispensing team
” Taking ownership of your clinic diary with assistance from the practice manager
” Be prepared to come out of the test room to be a face of the business

Requirements of the Optometrist

” GOC registered and full CET accredited
” Excellent communication skills
” Comfortable undertaking contact lens work
” Able to work a mixed rota system including some Saturdays and some later finishes
*My client has some flexibility on working hours and days which will be reflected in salaries being offered

Compensation for the Optometrist

For this role my client is offering a competitive salary of between £55,000 – £62,000 pro-rata basic and a strong overall package which will be calculated on your specific working requirements.
