Optical Assistant Position
A progressive opportunity has just become available for a quality driven optical assistant for a full time, permanent role in the Nottingham area.
I am recruiting currently for an experienced optical assistant who has a passion for contact lenses and ultimately to forge a career in optics with the opportunities are there for advancement to bigger and better things. There are training courses also available to you for ensuring your career is going in whatever direction you want to take.
This practice is situated in a busy part of the city and has strong footfall with a loyal customer base made up of a good mix of private and NHS patients. They have a very friendly and patient focused team in place, who all work for each other to deliver the highest levels of care possible and they have a very good local reputation for excellence in customer care.
Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant
The role will entail all duties within the contact lens department including diary management and patient care. There are also some dispensing duties and you will have experience of delivering services to all levels. You will also be required to give out advice on all options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice.
Requirements of the Optical Assistant
At least 1 years experience in a busy practice is beneficial but not essential and the ability to competently deliver contact lens teaches and dispense to all levels with a friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic. A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
Compensation for the Optical Assistant
For your skills and input my client is offering a competitive salary of up to £16,000 basic and a strong bonus scheme and additional benefits. You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training with the benefit of progression on to the dispensing optician course as well as joining a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
