Optical Training Manager

Looking for a new challenge? Would you like to be instrumental in developing our growing branch teams to deliver the very best optical customer experience on the high street? Do you possess excellent communication and coaching skills?

Scrivens are looking for an Optical Training Manager to plan, develop and manage our training programmes across our 180+ branch network. 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and writing training programmes in line with our business objectives 
  • Planning and managing the delivery of training requirements to all front of house and dispensing staff, TDO and pre-reg, along with supporting new product launches
  • Delivering the best in clinical excellence while balancing commercial aims
  • Managing a team of regional trainers


  • Ideally (but not obligatory) registered Dispensing Optician/Contact Lens Optician
  • Experienced and skilled to high professional standards 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A great coach and motivator 
  • Ability to write and present courses to high standards
