Optometrist - Rhyl Role summary

Due to continued growth at our Specsavers store in Rhyl, we are now looking for a qualified Optometrist to join us at this exciting time as we expand our busy store. Not only will we be a store of 7 consulting rooms, our increased focus in EOS along with a brand new OCT machine will mean you will be working in a store of the future.

The Store:

The store has enjoyed phenomenal growth in the past year, which is down to good teamwork and loyal hardworking staff. Although we have a recently expanded spacious store with air-conditioned consulting rooms and a strong support team.

The store offers excellent service to all patients and has up-to-date ophthalmic equipment including a retinal camera, auto-refractor, NCT, field screeners and more. All pre and post-screening will be carried out for you by clinical or optical assistants – which will allow you to concentrate on carrying out eye examinations to a high standard, and maintain an honest commercial approach to recommending the right products for the right patients. A highly clinical minded store with upto date equipment and a strong focus to the future.

Your role in our store:

We know that regardless of whom you work for, who you work with, and wherever you live in the UK -an eye-test is an eye-test, pure and simple. We can’t tell you that your 25+ minutes with your patients is any different to anywhere else - but what we can offer is a workplace where we want you to be part of our team in Specsavers Rhyl, and together, we’ll strive to give the best service to our patients.

We want you to show us where your talents and interests lie, whether it is in IT, training, marketing, pre-reg supervision, PR, charity work, team building, or simply keeping track of professional matters. We want you to get that little bit extra out of your normal optometrist’s working day, and feel that your contribution matters to us.

And for you....

All levels of experience will be considered on a temporary or permanent basis for this fantastic role. The package will include:

  • Highly competitive salary package
  • Pension
  • CET Training
  • personal development courses
  • G.O.C fees paid
  • Relocation packages are available for the right candidates

If you’d like to test the water first, we can arrange a visit for you to see and even work in the practice to introduce you to the area.

For more information or to apply, please contact Gaynor Crausby at Specsavers Recruitment on 01566 770 128 or gaynor.crausby@specsavers.com

This vacancy will close once we have filled all available assessment places. We therefore highly recommend early applications.
