The Coatbridge store, only 25 minutes from Glasgow City Centre is a new modern 2000 square foot retail unit and a focal point in the heart of Coatbridge town centre. Free parking is available and excellent train transport links are nearby. The store was one of the first to be accredited with Platinum Employer working to the highest standards of patient care. In addition, they have Dementia Friends accreditation and Are involved in a lot of work with different charities.
Our sister store in Airdrie only 2 miles away has an in-house lab, which aids customer service but also allows team members to get a better understanding of the spectacle manufacturing process. The store also won ‘Best UK Specsavers store in Overall Performance’ and runner up in ‘Excellence in Customer Service’ at the Specsavers National awards which they are very proud of.
This store is a part of the UK's most trusted optical brand and has enjoyed a strong period of growth recently, so as a result are looking to add and strengthen the existing team of around 40 which. The store itself has 4 testing rooms using advanced equipment such as: (Nidek phoropter, automated Nidek Tonoref 3 (includes pachimetry), new Henson 9000, as well as other visual field screeners. DRS fundus camera with I pads in every room and Heidelberg OCT coming soon. Autofocimeter and I pads for near chart with trail lenses are also available.
As an Optometrist you will have the full opportunity for clinical, professional, and personal development, including, but not limited to: WOPEC accreditations, College of Optometrist Higher certificates, IP, Senior Optometrist progression and management development all sponsored by the store in order to aid your specific career and personal goals.
Further to this the store has a very close relationship and links with local hospitals and schools. The store is focused on giving back to the local community and utilise a team comprising of Optometrists and Optical Assistants that attend local schools for visits to educate on the importance of regular eye examinations.
The store also arranges placements for their pre reg Optometrists and IP training Optometrists at the local hospital.
As an Optometrist (full or part time, newly qualified or experienced) you will provide an outstanding clinical service by providing world class eye tests and by maintaining an exceptional standard of customer care to all patients and work with the Dispensing Opticians and Manager to ensure clinics run smoothly. Testing times are at the discretion of the Optometrist as they each see their own patients in their own clinics will full on-going support.
