Optical Practice Manager
I am looking for an experienced Qualified Dispensing Optician with management experience for a role that has just become available with a small but busy practice in Surrey. This is a permanent, full time position offering an attractive package.
Optical Practice Manager Position
This role is working within a small practice that is a part of a widely recognised optical brand with a good reputation. The practice is a fully booked, single clinic outfit with a long standing team and a good local customer base. The reason for the role is 2 fold, firstly the business is doing well and they could use the services of a full time Dispensing Optician and would like to combine the role with a management position as the store director is looking to step away from the day to day running of the practice.
Responsibilities of the Optical Practice Manager
You will be responsible for the daily retail operations of the store. You will be overseeing the dispensing and reception staff and ensuring that all patients are seen on time and in a professional manner. As a dispensing optician you will take on the lion’s share of the kids and OAP dispenses as well as in all other areas of the practice to ensure the smooth running of the business. You will lead from example and identify training and team coaching opportunities. You will closely with the store director to ensure that the business is moving forward and maximising on all business development opportunities.
Requirements of the Optical Practice Manager
To apply for this position you need to be a fully qualified dispensing optician who is on the GOC and up to date with all CET requirements. You will have management experience and the ability to lead a team from the front and really add value to a business.
Compensation for the Optical Practice Manager
On offer is a competitive salary of £28,000 – £33,000 + GOC Fees + 33 Days annual leave.
