Specsavers has been going from strength to strength, ever since the business started back in 1984. We strive for the highest clinical standards – and believe that the customer should be at the heart of everything we do. We also recognise that our people are critical to our past and future success – so we do everything we can to make sure they get the experience and career they’re looking for: from outstanding training and a personal development plan, to excellent benefits and unstinting support. The business has nearly 1,500 stores across 12 countries – and is still growing. We want you to be part of this outstanding success story.
Be part of a big-name brand – that thinks about the little things.
Join our team in Cork as an Optometrist, and you’ll soon see why over almost 30 years, Specsavers has become the number one provider of professional eyecare in Ireland. Thanks to our size and scale, we are able to offer careers with plenty of scope, first-class training and high quality equipment. But we haven’t forgotten about the things that count. Like solid support. Teamwork. And the importance of recognising talent. Join us and you’ll find you’re part of a large and growing business – with a fantastic family feel.
You’ll make sure our customers get an expert eye examination (or contact lens service), complete with clear information, sound advice and a friendly, professional approach. You’ll work to the highest clinical standards, ensure we comply with all the guidelines (and our own procedures), and help to build a loyal customer base.
An experienced professional, you’ll be an expert at putting people at their ease. You can talk customers through the eye examination process and explain their options in a clear, easy to understand way. What’s more, you’re organised and passionate about what you do – which means you keep accurate records and always have up-to-date knowledge of the latest developments in your field.
