Variety, they say, is the spice of life. Joining Optical Express can reinvigorate the careers of optometrists who are looking for more diversity in their working life.
If that’s you, then please read on, as we explain the unique opportunities you can enjoy with the market leader.
It’s important to Optical Express that its optometrists are supported by highly competent specialist staff and managers. Every one of its regions has its own Learning & Development Officer, who is responsible for continuous development through delivering training and coaching. In addition, an Optometry Development Manager oversees clinical development in each region.
Further support for optometrists is available through a dedicated Professional Services team. Almost a concierge service, they are on hand to provide guidance and direction whenever you require it.
As the future of optometry will be in providing community-based eye care services, the company has committed to helping its optometrists develop professionally, pledging that every Optical Express optometrist will be able to gain an Independent Prescribing qualification through its partnership with Glasgow Caledonian University. The first IP cohort has now completed the course, while more optometrists are currently studying for the qualification.
In addition, optometrists have the opportunity to attend a variety of CET events and gain CET points. As an Optical Express optometrist, you’ll have access to unrivalled training opportunities that will take your skills to a different level, including opportunities to gain experience in refractive areas of the business. In addition, in house optometrist trainers are on hand to lend support whenever it’s required, and you’ll be able to learn from industry specialists who provide expert clinical guidance at every stage.
Optical Express is renowned for its state of the art technology, which allows its optometrists to use highly advanced equipment from world-leading providers including Johnson & Johnson Vision and Zeiss.
