Contact Lens Optician

A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a franchise of this leading UK multiple, who are looking to add an Contact Lens Optician to their successful practice.
This is a big and busy store with triple clinics, 300-350 eye tests per week and a team of 25 strong, if you are looking for a role where you can look to develop and progress while working in a friendly team then this could be the role for you!!!

The ideal candidate will be a Contact Lens Optician with minimum 12 months experience preferably with a fast paced opticians.
This role will be 80% contact lens work with potentially 1 day dispensing, my client is ideally looking for and experienced Contact Lens Optician who is able to help further develop their current large contact lens database.
You will need to be a strong team player, a real ‘people person’ and pride yourself in your punctuality and professionalism.

Responsibilities of the Contact Lens Optician

The role will entail contact lens fittings, taking care of your patents and managing your clinics effectively as well as occasional dispensing spectacles to all levels.
You will also be developing the contact lens side of the business helping to improve the number of contact lens appointments and growing this side of the business.

Requirements of the Contact Lens Optician

Need to be fully qualified as a Contact Lens Optician and have experience within a busy practice.
Need to be fully aware of the contact lens side of the business, comfortable managing clinics and ideally have experience in management.
You will be on hand to help junior members of the team with any difficult questions and general trouble shooting.
As a member of the stores clinical team you will have a valued input with best practice and clinical compliance.

Compensation for the Contact Lens Optician

In return, the company can offer a fantastic working environment with an excellent level of support from a huge enthusiastic team including another Contact Lens Optician and Optometrist.
Basic salary is dependent upon experience and personality but can be up to £30k basic also including a very rewarding bonus scheme, GOC fees paid and 5 weeks holiday.

Working Monday – Saturday with a day off in the week – 9:00-5:30 with an occasional late (9:30-18:00)
