My client is looking to take on a technician with specific skillset for a Frame Support Technician in the Birmingham area.

Responsibilities of the Optical Lab Technician

Reporting to the Logistics Frame Manager and working in a small team, this role will suit a talented individual who thrives on the ability to co-ordinate new business launches and have a passion for analysing data and reporting.

” Support key projects within Frame Supply Chain Management
” Management of frame databases; analysing data and creating reports, with the necessary commentary and solutions
” Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
” Managing weekly & daily KPI’s for customers and internal requirements, evaluating the data and making appropriate recommendations
” This list is not exhaustive and you may need to carry out other duties within the remit of the role

Requirements of the Optical Lab Technician

The key to the success of the role must be a self-starter, a quick learner and must have superb communication and influence skills, a positive attitude. Razor-sharp analytical skills with excellent MS Excel skills are required, and in particular the ability to identify trends and drawing conclusions from vast amounts of data.
Along with this your enthusiasm, self-motivation and self-discipline to achieve more and meet deadlines as well as manage your time effectively. You will need to work on your own initiative.

Knowledge and experience:

oAdvanced Excel skills
oWorking knowledge of Oracle and AS400 would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given
oEducated to a minimum of GCSE standard including A-C in both Maths & English

They are offering a good salary of £18,000 – £19,500 Plus a strong overall package to include 5-7% bonus, (paid quarterly), and free parking.
