Retail Supervisor - Coulby Newham Role summary

We are recruiting a Retail Supervisor for the Coulby Newham store. We are advertising internally and externally.

Coulby Newham is a small but busy store that is fast paced. It has a young enthusiastic team that needs a Retail Supervisor to support the Retail Manager and assist in the running of the store.

Role summary

 

To assist the store directors and management team in the effective running of the store in order to provide excellent customer service and deliver business objectives.

The role

Principal accountabilities:

•        Lead by example providing first class customer service to both internal and external customers

•        Positively and confidently resolve all customer concerns

•        Organise the team on a daily basis to achieve objectives

•        Manage Health and Safety effectively and ensure the store remains compliant

•        Continuously strive for improvement in product quality and business standards

•        Drive efficiencies and profitability in store operations through, but not exclusive to, cash, stock and lab management

•        Support the store partners with the business planning activities for the store

•        Work closely with the Retail Team to identify solutions suitable for business

            improvement and commercial opportunities

•        Drive the store key performance indicators (KPIs)

•        Manage store compliance effectively and ensure the store adheres to legal requirements

•        Keep up to date with developments in the industry and across the business

•        Conduct daily briefings with the team providing direction and motivation for the day

•        Ensure their own and their team’s personal development is actively undertaken and in line with business objectives

•        Management of the store team, driving performance and engagement within the store utilising data provided from engagement surveys

•        Awareness of the local competition and activities within their environments

The Individual

 

Essential skills include:

•        Experience of operating in the retail sector

•        Proven ability to lead a team

•        Ability to influence at a senior level

•        Ability to manage a heavy and shifting workload

•        Demonstrate strong team management skills and provide leadership to execute strategy

•        Be self-driven and be able to effectively deliver through teams

Desirable skills include:

•        Operating in the optical and/or hearing sector

•        Management and Leadership qualificationsBehaviours
