Summer Placement - CorporateTravel Role summary

Summer Placement

We are offering a number of 4-week Summer Placements across various areas of our Specsavers Support office.  These placement are open for any Guernsey based post-16 student to apply for.  The students will experience a full application and interview process, and successful candidates will not only received paid summer employment but will also be given exposure to a suite of ‘life skills’ such as Communication Skills, Time Management, Teamwork, email etiquette as well as a session on how to create a Linkedin profile!

Main Purpose of Role

Travel

To provide advice and fulfil company travel requirements to all support staff by utilising the various different booking systems. To provide administrative support to the Corporate Travel Consultants.  

Facilities

To assist with the service delivery of the hard and soft services within Facilities Management.

Key Responsibilities Travel

  • Provide advice and fulfil company travel requirements
  • Build relationships with the customer and provide an excellent travel service
  • Make reservations in house Aviation Booking System
  • Monitor standards and travel policy compliance
  • Ensure that customers receive the highest standards of service
  • Administrative tasks including invoicing 
  • Supporting the Corporate Travel Consultants in administrative tasks
  • You create open communication channels with your stakeholders to inform and update and build trust and respect by creating strong relationships.
  • You champion and commit to performing role within the recognised Specsavers behaviours

Key Responsibilities Facilities

  • Utilising the compliance & maintenance system
  • Assist with the monitoring of the cleaning contract by conducting audit checks
  • Meeting & events preparation
  • Assist with planning on the refurb project
  • Daily meeting room checks to ensure the area is tidy and stationary is replenished
  • Assist on reception

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and organise work load and change

  • Knowledge of office IT applications and good keyboard skills
  • Good problem solving skills

  • Proven administrative skills
  • A relevant professional qualification
  • Experience of Travel Buying and Corporate Travel
  • Experience of Facilities Management
