Responsibilities of the Assistant Manager
The primary role for the Assistant Manager to oversee the clinic diary and to maximise the use of the Optometrists time. You will work with the store manager to help to develop the team and ensure that targets are being hit and customer service standards are exceeded. You will use key performance indicators to identify training opportunities and develop the team.
Requirements of an Assistant Manager
You do not have to be in a management position at the moment as this role would suit someone in a supervisory role looking for the next step up in their career. You will need to be well organised and strong leader with excellent customer/colleague interpersonal skill. However, you need to be competent at dispensing to all levels and comfortable doing contact lens teaches and pre-test screening as you will be training new team members to perform such skills in the future.
Compensation for the Assistant Manager role
On offer for the right person is a competitive salary of £18,000 + Bonus (Approx. £1500-£2000 per annum) as well as the opportunity to further your career. You will have 28 days holiday and work between 9-5:30pm, with NO Sundays & one other day off in the week to be discussed.
