The Opticians, situated in Wiltshire, have provided the local community with an extremely high level of care and service for a considerable time. The opticians have an extremely loyal patient base, so thrive on their reputation within the area and are a very busy practice.
This is a true, family run practice that, in some cases, have worked with up to five generations of the same family. The Opticians have outstanding staff, who operate as real team; including Optometrists, a Dispensing Optician and Receptionists/Optical Assistants.
The opticians have multiple consulting and dispensing areas, and almost all days of the week. With excellent equipment, including an OCT machine, the opticians offer patients an excellent clinical service.
The Opticians are looking for an Optometrist to join them; who wants to grow into the practice and eventually look at buying in. As an Optometrist with this opticians, you’ll have plenty of time to spend with patients as the Opticians currently have 45 minute testing times.
The opticians offer domiciliary visits, and do low vision work; so there are plenty of opportunities to enhance your clinical skills. You’ll also need to have a desire to come into, grow and take over the practice – so commercial knowledge, or a desire to learn more commercially is essential.

Key Skills and Qualifications
You’ll need to be registered with the General Optical Council as a Fully Qualified Optometrist, and be on track to meet the statutory points requirements for CET.
Alongside the clinical requirements, this opticians are also looking for an Optometrist who has good personal skills. Including; confidence, strong communication, easy-going personality, honesty, care for the patients and commercial awareness.
