About the Store/Technology:
Part of the UK's most trusted optical brand and celebrating nearly 26 years since it opened its doors the Falkirk store has gone from strength to strength. The store currently employs a team of 30 and prides itself on the fact they have little to no attrition with the majority of employees having more than 5 years’ service which is a testament to both them and the Directors.
The store has 3 test rooms, 2 are short-form rooms and currently use Nidek which they are looking to replace early 2018, this will include OCT technology.
The store is currently open 7 days a week with no late night and their testing times are 25mins rolling clinic.
As an Optometrist you will have the full opportunity for clinical, professional, and personal development, including, but not limited to: WOPEC accreditations, College of Optometrist Higher certificates, IP, Senior Optometrist progression and management development to aid your specific career and personal goals.
Further to this the store run regular training sessions with their instore trainer, group and 1-1’s making sure everyone feels part of the store and can feel their input is listened to in order for the store to run smoothly, effectively and that the patients are getting the best care.
Falkirk is situated in central Scotland between Edinburgh and Glasgow with great train and motorway links. They also have a 2nd store opened in Grangemouth which is 3 miles away from Falkirk which was recently opened in March 2017.
As an Optometrist (full or part time, newly qualified or experienced) you will provide an outstanding clinical service by providing world class eye tests and by maintaining an exceptional standard of customer care to all patients and work with the Dispensing Opticians and Manager to ensure clinics run smoothly. Our Optometrists provide eye examinations (and a contact lens service) that meet high clinical standards as well as strict NHS guidelines. But just as importantly, they provide every customer with clear advice and the peace of mind that comes with being in expert hands. To be part of our team, you’ll need to provide the same blend of customer care and professional excellence – which will make a big impact on the store’s overall success.
An experienced professional, you’ll be an expert at putting people at their ease. You can talk customers through the eye examination process and explain their options in a clear, easy to understand way. What’s more, you’re organised and passionate about what you do – which means you keep accurate records and always have up-to-date knowledge of the latest developments in your field.
