Optometrist - Canterbury, Kent Role summary

An attractive opportunity has opened for a driven Optometrist in our Canterbury Specsavers store in the Kent area. This store is a part of the UK's most trusted optical brand and has enjoyed a strong period of growth recently – so as a result are looking to add and strengthen their team.

The role in a nutshell:

You’ll complete eye examinations and contact lens appointments whilst driving our conversions and average order value through delivering excellent customer service.

The area and the store:

This role will take you to the historic cathedral city of Canterbury. This attractive city has a wide range of things to do from visiting the cathedral to a trip to the wild animal park. Commuting is no issue here with two train stations available allowing you to get to London in under one hour!

Within the store, you’ll be part of a large team of motivated staff who will help support and guide you in this role. The store currently features 5 tests rooms and is soon to expand to 7 test rooms.  The patient base here has been described as friendly and the store environment as welcoming and positive.   

Whether you have recently qualified and are looking to find your footing in optics or whether you’re an established Optometrist looking to develop and further your career, then this store is definitely for you. With supportive directors and both professional and clinical progression opportunities on offer there’s no telling how far you’ll go! The store is heavily involved in Enhanced Optical Services (EOS) with one of the directors leading the county for EOS development. What’s more, the supportive directors at this store will give you all the tools you need to join Specsavers Pathway, eventually opening the door for you to become a director of your own store!
