You’ve got the skills and the drive, your Optical Laboratory Technician qualifications prove that. Now you’ve found the business that shares your ambition: welcome to Specsavers and our store in Ashbourne, Co Meath.

This is to join a brand-new practice and its new lab facility with state-of-the-art equipement; intitially for a temporary contract with a possibiltiy of extending it upon successful initial performance.

Over almost 30 years, Specsavers have become the number one provider of professional eyecare in the UK and Ireland – and we don’t intend to stop there. With our outstanding training and ever-growing business, there’s every opportunity to advance and excel.

As a Laboratory Technician, you’ll be preparing customer prescriptions to the highest standards and using the latest computer-controlled equipment. It’s all about providing an excellent single vision glazing service that helps the store to maximise sales and profitability. One day you could be repairing spectacles. The next, you could be glazing and tinting single vision lenses. The important thing is that you’ll be learning all the time – building on your knowledge with the help of your expert colleagues.

An eye for detail is a must. You should also be good with people and able to work as part of a team. You’ll be friendly and organised too, presenting a professional image to customers at all times. Above all, you’ll have previous experience as a Lab Technician, who’s always ready to learn.
