Specsavers has been going from strength to strength, ever since the business started back in 1984. We strive for the highest clinical standards – and believe that the customer should be at the heart of everything we do. We also recognise that our people are critical to our past and future success – so we do everything we can to make sure they get the experience and career they’re looking for: from outstanding training and a personal development plan, to excellent benefits and unstinting support. The business has nearly 1,500 stores across 12 countries – and is still growing. We want you to be part of this outstanding success story.
With a fantastic salary on offer, including a strong bonus scheme, private health care, pension and a relocation package for those on the move, we’re seeking a talented Optometrist to join our passionate team in Specsavers Limerick. The progression of our former Optometrist, who via the Specsavers “grow your own” initiative now directs their own store, has created a rare opening for an ambitious individual who shares our vision to join our growing team in Ireland.
When it comes to the core of the role; we pride ourselves on running a professional customer focused test clinic – but what really makes this role stand out is that we can offer is a workplace with a difference, an environment where people grow both personally and clinically, and the opportunity to take that little extra out of your normal day. What’s more we have a long list of Optometrists who now run a Specsavers store of their own due to the development we have been able to offer.
Situated in a prime high street location in the heart of Limerick, this forward-thinking store continues to expand and provide the career development opportunities that come with such continued growth. Including our two sister stores, we’re equipped with 15 air-conditioned test rooms, state of the art technology, up-to-date ophthalmic equipment and a staff team 70 members strong - including clinical/optical assistants trained in pre and post screening, so everything is in place to let you focus on what you do best. Glazing almost 1000 lenses a week and on course for a record turnover, this is a store is on track to reach new heights. There’s no better time to join Specsavers in Limerick.
The diverse and vibrant city of Limerick offers the lifestyle to match this fantastic career opportunity. As Irelands third largest city, Limerick has something for everyone and is renowned for its busy calendar of events – in fact, the City became Irelands inaugural National City of Culture in 2014.
Limerick was also nominated European Capital of Sport 2011, and is the home of the infamous Munster University and Rugby team, making it a sought after location for sports lovers.
In return for the fantastic salary and bonus package, training, personal development courses and genuine career progression opportunities on offer, we’re looking for someone ready to put our patients first, to become part of our team and to maintain the standards we hold true to Specsavers Limerick.
For us it’s about more than clinical ability, it’s about you. You may be newly qualified or have years of experience, be looking for a full or part time position on a permanent or temporary basis. At Specsavers you’ll find the flexible opportunities to suit your current situation.
