Part time Optometrist (15 hours per week) - Sedgley, West Midlands

My Client, an independent practice that is part of the Beacon Centre for the Blind, are looking for an Optometrist to work on a part time basis, 15 hours a week; Mondays 8.30am to 5.30pm and Thursdays 12.30pm to  7.30pm (30 minute lunch break) plus additional hours working one Saturday in four 9.00am to 2.30pm. As the business grows there can be potential to increase the hours if you wish. The practice occupies spacious purpose designed accommodation, working alongside low vision sales and retail. The practice is also accredited to Dudley Healthy Living Opticians network and holds a MECS contract for Wolverhampton and Sandwell. The practice has been established since 2015 and has a very good reputation for offering excellent service and quality of its facilities.  You will conduct thorough eye tests as well as completing contact lens fittings and aftercares. You will be on hand to offer clinical advice and help patients' choose the best opticians for their needs.  It is imperative you are comfortable working as the sole Optometrist, have a friendly, professional disposition and an excellent chair side manner. NB If you do not have the MECS qualification you will be happy to take on the training course.
