Our store has recently been recognised by Specsavers with an Award for Excellence in EOS, and is the first High Street Opticians in the UK to partner with the NHS to form a Wet AMD Ophthalmic, Diagnostic and Treatment Centre (ODTC). We are also a Glaucoma ODTC and participate in shared care Glaucoma with the local hospital. You need to be a WECS accredited Optometrist to be able to participate in these schemes: full training and support will be provided in store.
The practice, which is less than a year old, has phoropter heads in each room. We have an OCT and a 3D fundus camera which are both linked directly to Ophthalmology. We have access to the NHS Clinical Workstation so you may access a patients hospital records as part of your duties. Pre-testing and Humphrey fields are done for you by our highly trained support team which includes DO's, CLO's, Low Vision Practitioners, Level 3 & 4 Qualified Optical Assistants.
