This leading client in the heart of Manchester is looking for either a qualified or Non-Qualified experienced Optical Practice Manager to join one of the UK’s largest optical groups’ most prestigious stores. Optical Practice Manager

This is a full time opportunity with a practices where you will manage store operations, ensuring that customer care is nothing less than excellent and that financial goals are met. You’ll be comfortable leading a large team (80 staff) and driving this already successful practice to the next level. This may mean developing commercial opportunities through PR and marketing.

Responsibilities of the Optical Practice Manager

Your main task will be to help run the store from a retail perspective, focusing particularly on the quality of the dispensing team. Your efforts will help to ensure that the store runs successfully, while providing customers with an exceptional service. Much of your work will involve inspiring staff to perform at their best and meet the highest standards. Your efforts will help to drive the overall store sales as well as customer loyalty which will make you a key member of the team.

You will be a manager first and a dispenser secondly, as the role requires you to take responsibility of recruitment needs/staffing levels including rotas, forward planning and driving the targets and KPI’s to maximise efficiency of the team performance.

Requirements of the Optical Practice Manager

It is essential that you have previous Managerial experience and ideally have worked with a large team although this is not essential. You’ll be an expert team leader that ensures your team feel enthused and free to make suggestions. Essentially you will have strong leadership skills but equally approachable and supportive. On top of this, you’ll need strong commercial acumen with a clear understanding of KPIs, managing goals and an organised approach.

Leading Salary £22,000 -£26,000 (dependent upon experience)
Excellent bonus tailored to you (approximately £3000 per annum)
